ATTACHMENT OF AGENDA
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RESPONDED TO THE PREVIOUS INVITATION, THERE IS NO NEED TO DO SO AGAIN.
Please join the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) on February 5, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm (Transportation Council Room, NCTCOG, 616 Six Flags Drive, Arlington, TX) to discuss the implementation of the Participant Statistical Areas Program (PSAP) in preparation for the 2020 Census. The Census 2020 PSAP allows local governments and other entities to update statistical area boundaries, including Census tracts, Census block groups, Census-designated places, and Census county divisions. The new boundaries will be used as the basis for the 2020 Census data and the next decade of American Community Survey tabulations. Final plans for each county must be submitted in spring 2019.
NCTCOG will lead the Census 2020 PSAP effort in the 16-county region. We are reaching out to counties, cities, and entities that may be affected by splitting or merging boundaries. We want to give you an opportunity to provide input about your preferences for these areas. At this meeting, we will introduce the Census 2020 PSAP and discuss the process for providing input on the delineation of these boundaries.
